HIP HOP LEGEND ICE CUBE LIVE TONIGHT!
Concert to be held at Théâtre Telus on Thursday July 16
Rocawear presents Ice Cube, live in concert, on Thursday, July 16th 2009 at 9pm. This historic event takes place at the Théâtre Telus located at 1280 St.Denis, Downtown Montreal.
Joining Ice Cube on stage are some of the West Coast’s most recognizable: WC (Westside Connection) and Da Lench Mob. With some of Montreal’s hottest artists; Bad News Brown, Chub-E Pelletier, Sans Pression and Magnum 357. The show is hosted by The Almighty Flight and Keith Dean (keithdean.com) with music provided by DJ Blaster (CKUT 90.3fm Ill Groove Garden, djblaster.com) and Redd Dredd.
Ice Cube is considered one of the pioneers of Gangsta Rap. He began his career alongside Dr. Dre, Easy E, and MC Ren in the notorious West Coast group NWA which in 1988 released “Straight Outta Compton†considered by many to mark the beginning of the Gangsta Rap era.
At the height of the group’s success, Ice Cube broke away to start his solo career. His initial release, “Amerikkka’s MostWanted†in 1990 went Platinum. His sophomore album, “Death Certificate” debuted at #1 on the R&B Album chart and went on to sell over two million copies.
Ice Cube has sold over 10 million albums to date. His impressive musical career includes the multi-platinum success of both his double album “War and Peace,†and hit albums “Lethal Injection,†“Bootlegs & B-Sides,†“The Predator,†and “Laugh Now, Cry Later.†Ice Cube is currently working on his ninth solo effort, titled “Raw Footage†that will be released on August 19th on his label, Lench Mob Records.
The Ice Cube concert takes place on Thursday, July 16th 2009. Doors open at 8pm, Showtime is at 9pm. The Théâtre Telus is located at 1280 St-Denis, Corner St-Catherine in the heart of Downtown Montreal, Metro Berri-UQAM. Rocawear présente en spectacle le rappeur Ice Cube. Une prestation qui aura lieu le jeudi 16 juillet 2009, sur les planches du Théâtre Telus situé en plein cœur du centre-ville au 1280, rue St-Denis.
Sur les planches, Ice Cube sera supporté par WC (Westside Connection) et Da Lench Mob. Avec les MCs les plus chauds de Montréal soient; Sans Pression, Chub-e Pelletier, Bad News Brown et Magnum 357. DJ Blaster (CKUT 90.3fm, Ill Groove Garden, djblaster.com) et Redd Dredd assureront la musique avec le meilleur du Hip Hop. The Almighty Flight et Keith Dean (keithdean.com) serons les animateurs de la soirée.
