Smif-N-Wessun Live in Montreal
Performing on Saturday, Nov. 29 at Salle Lambi
Hip Hop’s power duo, Smif-N-Wessun from the Boot Camp Clik will be in Montreal on Saturday, November 29th. They will playing an up close and intimate concert at Salle Lambi, 4495 St-Laurent Blvd.
The duo, consisting of members Tek and Steele, are also known as the Cocoa Brovaz. They have been performing for over a decade. Their debut album, Dah Shinin became an influential album in the hardcore Hip Hop scene of the mid ’90s and is considered a rap classic. Their fourth release, Smif-N-Wessun: The Album came out last year.
They are best known for the anthem “Bucktown” and the white label single, “Super Brooklyn”, which featured an illegal sample from Super Mario Bros. video game. Smif-N-Wessun are also one quarter of the Brooklyn supergroup Boot Camp Clik, with Buckshot, Heltah Skeltah and O.G.C.
Accompanying Smif-N-Wessun on stage will be Theology 3 from Toronto, La Clinick featuring L’Queb & Frenchi, and Buzzy Bwoy with his new album, Jusqu’au cut. Music provided by DJ Manzo.
Salle Lambi is located at 4465 Blvd. St.Laurent, near Metro Mont-Royal. Doors open at 7:30pm. Showtime is 8:30pm. Advance tickets areÂ $19.50, available atÂ Off The Hook, City Styles, and SubV.
There we an official after-party for Smif-N-Wessun at Le Ballroom as part of the club’s anniversary celebrations. Music will be provided by Team Canada, Canada’s most in-demand Mash-UpÂ DJs. The first 40 people with ticket stubs from the show will receive free entry and complimentary drinks, courtesy of Escape Entertainment. Ballroom is located at 3643, Boul St-Laurent.

Samedi le 29 Novembre, Le duo explosif Smif-N-Wessun du Boot Camp Clik en concert. Un spectacle Intime, qui aura lieu Ã la salle Lambi, au 4465 Boul St-Laurent.
Aussi connu sous le nom Cocoa Brovaz, les membres Tek and Steele performent ensemble depuis plus dâ€™une dÃ©cennie. Leur premier album; Dah Shinin, Ã©tait un immanquable des annÃ©es â€™90 et est aujourdâ€™hui considÃ©rÃ© comme un classique de la musique rap. Ils ont tout rÃ©cemment complÃ©tÃ© leur quatriÃ¨me album; Smif-N-Wessun: The Album, en vente depuis 2007.
