Okay… really I do not know if this is the 211th email blast, because I have never counted them… but if you figure out the number of weeks that I have been sending out emails… multiply the years… then you do the math… because I can’t… There are so many events going on this week that we have to write up an email on a Tuesday and send it out on a Wednesday and then change clothes to go out… So right now the only math I can do is subtraction, and it involves the number 26 and 40… But for the first time we are doing an online version of the email… If you want to get your weekly dose of Vitamin J! D12, Royce da 5’9″, Joe Budden and Classified LIVE TONIGHT!!Â
Some of today’s top rappers have joined forces to come to Montreal in what is sure to be a once in a lifetime show. D12, Royce da 5’9″, Joe Budden and Classified will be coming to this city tonight!! Who knows when you will see such a diverse lineup of underground Hip Hop again…Â Tonight Â Wednesday, November 12th at 10pm, at Foufounes Electriques, 87 Ste.Catherine E. Limited tickets are still available at the door…

Smif-N-Wessun, RA the Rugged Man, Fabolous, Big Daddy Kane all coming to Montreal
We have some other great Hip Hop shows coming over the next month, including Smif-N-Wessun on Nov. 29th at Salle Lambi, Fabolous December 3rd at Club Soda, RA the Rugged Manat Foufounes Electriques on Dec. 10th and of course, the Hip Hop legend himself, Big Daddy Kane at the Saints on Dec. 19th (www.bigdaddykane.info )… We will be pimpin’ more info on all of these events over the next few weeks…

Montreal Matrix start their pre-season this week…
Montreal’s veryÂ own professional Basketball team, the Matrix, start off their pre-season this Friday, Nov. 14 withan inter-team game… the game starts at 7pm with a special Wine Tasting at 5pm… come at support the local talent.. taking place at the Claude Robillard Centre in the Olympic Park (Metro Viau)

Dancehall Queens and Kings Birthdays all coming up…
I said this on the radio last week (shameless plug: click here to listen to Ill Groove Garden)… but Montreal’s Dancehall Queens and Kings are instrumental in keeping the Montreal Dancehall scene alive and vibrant… how many times have you been to a dance where everyone was standing on a wall, until the dancers came out and flattened the place (and maybe a few bones too)… Well the other thing that DHQ & DHKs have in common is that it seems they all have their birthday at the same time… LOL… This Thursday, Nov. 13, Sheba celebrates her birthday with the Queen Sheba Birthday Splashover at Bacchus as part of Timeless… then on Saturday, Nov. 15, Bambi celebrates her birthday (with Sheba) at the Scorpio Drunken Bash down at 1252 Dollard, in Lasalle… and then the following week… Boomie has his birthday (alongside Sheba & Bambi (confused yet, lol)) at Wine It Up taking place at Vision Lounge…

Blaster at Coda this Thursday…
Also this week, Blaster is back at CODA this Thursday, Nov. 13th… We never know where he will be playing so catch him while you can… He will be DJing from 1am and drinking before that, LOL… Nice vibes… 12 case of B#er for $15 (!) and more at this semi-private club. (don’t worry, y’all invited ’cause Jesse’s said so)…

Nighthawk Sound’s More Fyah, DJ Tony’s Bday Black and White and West Indian Rhythms Comedy Show
Talking about hyping up the Reggae scene earlier, I have to also mention the birthday bashes of Montreal’s very own Nighthawk Int’l… They may be international, but we are talking about Montreal’s favourites Singing P and Junior Vibes taking place this Saturday, Nov. 15th at Visions… More Fyah is a semi-private affair, as promised much food and drink that night… (and I heard they will also be doing a pre-birthday fete down at Testa Rossa this Friday, Nov. 14 as well)… Another Reggae sound’s DJ will also be celebrating his birthday… DJ Tony from Platinum Sound will be doing it big next Friday, Nov. 21 down at Bacchus…Â Â Â While I am on a roll, let me quickly mention a couple of other events around the bend… Black & White, the annual affair always done nice takes place next week, Saturday, Nov. 22 at CEGEP Andre Laurendeau… and then the following weekend, Sunday Nov. 30th, at the same venue Stretch and the gang have their annual West Indian Rhythms Comedy Show…
